Somebody's racing a base Saturn SC with a turbo in OneLap. They're 1st in the econo class right now. Gotta love the underdog here.
They noticed high underhood temperatures so they vented the hood. In this link you'll see two vents. The small one on the side goes right over an airbox with a K&N cone filter. Kinda nice.
The other large one that's black (they didn't paint it) vents near the cowl. There's a shroud over it. This lets out all that hot air as they're flying down the track. It seems to be the culmination of what you're all talking about. It only works when you're going relatively fast but that's when you need it. Let me know if the link doesn't work.
