I don't know if this is possible to do, I was hoping someone would point me in the right direction. I guess we need to understand the dynamics of turbo design. It might take a long time to sort through books to find out how all facets of a turbo work together to make a turbo work a certain way. My original question comes from knowing that larger outlet exhaust area helps turbo flow efficiently at higher rpms. Brad at KC Saab/ Georges Imports told me he honed down the outlet in his turbo (stock 5cm2). I don't know what it measures now, I guess more like 6cm2. Probably not too hard to hone down 1 cm2 of material... Also folks talked about changing out turbos for the Viggen or 9-5 Aero I think and said to make sure to get the 6cm2 outlet size to work best in upper rpms. I see it like this, you blow through a straw and you get tremendous concentrated force built up quickly. If you blow through a cardboard papertowel holder, you might be hard pressed to generate much force behind it even though the output of your breath is generally the same. I'm making 290 foot punds with my mitsubishi 16G, but it's at 4300rpms. It's barely usable power sitting way up there unless I'm on highway and need to pass soemone. Around town and moderate driving this power isn't accessable. 240HP, 290Torque at 4300prms. I'll see if I can attach dynojet printout. My curve is good, just need the whole thing ramped up ALOT sooner.
