then, start car, clamp aic vacuum hose shut (vise grips), set idle to 800-900 rpm, then release aic hose. should stay at that idle spot. make sure to do it after warmed up. then set tps so that you hear a click as soon as the throttle is opened. it's easier to do this with the engine off. sounds like a problem that happened with mine, just cured it today, it would stall when i'd let off the gas, base idle was too low, new hot cams didn't help issue. seems to be all better now. btw, make sure your throttle cable is not too tight (or loose), it can hold the throttle open if too tight. spent two days chasing high idle only to realize throttle was being held open by the cable. good luck.
