The Trionic engine management system is highly advanced. For the kind of boost levels needed for a stage 1-2 conversion, stock base boost should be maintained. Keeping stock base boost is a safeguard to allow the APC system to lower boost in case of knocking. I'm not at all impressed with Abbott's setup.
Also, for the Aero, you really want to consider installing a more free-flowing exhaust incl. free-flow catalyst. Preferrably 3" all the way from turbo and back, but 2,5" after cat will do. The Aero is highly restricted by the stock exhaust and benefits GREATLY from a bigger exhaust. 20 hp is not an overstatement from the exhaust alone.
Also, you need to open up the airbox as this also restricts airflow. There is a plastic hose (looks like an elephant trunk) that is the source of restriction. Remove it. Spool-up will increase significantly.
My 97 Aero, with 3" from turbo, 3" Random Technology cat, modified airbox, K&N drop-in and reprogrammed ECU will do 100-150 kph (62-93 mph) in 3rd gear in 4.34 seconds. 80-120 kph (50-75 mph) in 4th in 4.41 seconds. Considering how few mods I have done, performance is quite impressive.
