79 up EMS rack, 3.5 lock to lock ratio. I've been thinking about it as well for a 9K, I dunno though, I'm getting lazy in my old age :) It would be a good way to shed consdirable weight and save the 3-5 hp it takes to turn the pump.
Other options are:
manual seats if you have power.
there is a fair amount of undercoating/sound deadening panels. These are surprisingly heavy. It's a backbreaking day of work to scrape them off though.
I'd be curious to see about replacing the hatch glass with plexiglass. Probably not too practical, but that would be a LOT of weight right there.
Funny, I started a thread like this a while ago and it turned into a bunch of people mocking me, i.e. 'take a shit before you drive, shave off your body hair, etc.'
Every 100 lbs you lose is good for about a tenth of a second in the 1/4 mile...ya don't always have to make more power to go faster :D
