I bought my 1985 SPG a year ago with 253K miles, I was a bit reluctant to buy at first, but then I saw it it. Near perfect shape, new headliner, new seats, new carpets, no cracks in dash, new windshield, she looked new. I took it for a test drive and it ran great.

Now: I have invested at least $2,500 in it on: complete audio system (Clarion CD Player, front speakers, rear 6X9's installed in rear wood deck, 800 watt amp, and two '12 Kicker subwoofers), New Tires, New KYB gas shocks, brake work, tie rods, tune up, windhshield gasket (It started leaking after I took the car home the first time it rained), floor mats, muffler, hooter valve, repaired heater (blew hot air all the time), rechared AC, New Mass air flow sensor, new cap &rotor, repaired driver side power window (kept sliding down), Lowering coil springs, rear wing &side covers from SAS, all new fuses, Had low beams fixed (they didnt come on), had blinker "shifter" fixed, all new silicone vacuum lines from saab savior, chrome exhaust tip, windows tinted ($250), black seat covers (to protect nice new leather),pained grille &light housing black, installed sylvania "Cool Blue" headlights, hundereds of $$$ on car care products, the list goes on and on.

Recent probles that have come up: CD Player stopped working (reads: "TEL") will not play, sometimes stalls while applying brake hard, CD player &radar detector shut off sometimes while applying brake, cruise control &power locks stopped working, passenger side door will not open from inside (this just started about a day ago).............You know how pissed of this makes me?! And I just send away for somenice '16 super aero wheels, and I know I will have to go get new tires and have wheels drilled to fit...but I dont really feeling like dumping all that cash into this friggen car. I love it dearly, but come on. I am so mad right now I feel like giving it away. It looks so beautifull sitting there in my yard, perfect, stealthy, so clean and flawless, but dam.

what would you guys do? I really want an SPG, but should I keep this one?

Thanks a lot
Gordon
