Gordon, a couple of things I would think about are, first of all, it's a 17 year old car. Shtuff happens over time. If you're going to own such an animal, I think you could save yourself a TON of cash and attempt the little ticky tack stuff yourself (inside door handle, CC and PDL's are probably an easy fix) otherwise ANY 17 year old car that you expect to keep running well and looking will eat you out of house and home.
Another thing, yes, you've put some money into accessories, but a lot more of that than the basic nuts and bolts of the car, and that's what a car of that vintage is going to need if you drive it..."it's always something".
I doubt you'll find a nicer SPG at a price that will make anything even closer to financial sense. Hows that saying go, 'better the w**** you know"? You already know the cars strengths and weaknesses, so play accordingly.
I think it's time to get your hands dirty :D
