funny you should mention a blown tranny, because thats how this whole thing really got started. My old motor/trans had some 185K on it and I decided to start adding power to it . oops. any how when it went south figurativly and literaly I decided to have it built as strong as possible. The new motor will be able to support boost levels around 32-33psi MAX. but I'm not going to be running it that high for a long time, well until I can get a 4 speed from Sweden. for now I'm going to run a 5 speed out of a 93 900T which is significantly stronger than the 85 version. that will help a little, but also I was advised not to run more than 25psi with the stock tranny , I'm planning on something like 18-23psi which will be way more power than I car previously had, I've also installed a bypass switch for the APC solenoid so that I can keep it at basic boost (8psi) 95% of the time and when I really want to move I just flip a switch and go.beyond that just common sense driving and the fact that my car will be sitting 5 days a week because I'm in collage and I live 4 blocks from school. Id like to put a stronger trans in by the end of this year, but school has to come first. I can say this the last 4 months have been trying since I haven't had my 900 to drive and have had to put up with a slow gigantic Suburban instead, that my parents let me borrow. Frankly the thing sucks I'm sick of driving around in a gas guzzling tank that doesn't stop corner and can be beat by a just about anything; oh yah it costs nearly $80 to fill up. screw that!
well that about it.
