Good job with the turbo rebuild Dave. My question to you: after you cleaned the oil passages, decarbonized and resealed everything, was there an audible difference when you kicked up the boost? I have a slight whistle at times during boost. I get full boost, and the oil seepage into the intake pipes for this turbo and year is normal, so I don't believe I have a serious problem. Perhaps with nearly 200K miles it is in need of a general overhaul, but not immediately. I'm guessing the whistle has something to do with some friction somewhere because of carbon, or worn seals. Any insight?
