A week or so ago (when I was away on my ski trip) & beleive a few of you had questions on the 4 speed boxes I bring over from Sweden. I just got a email back from Jorgen about the pinion he uses, this is what he says :o)
---
The -88 pinjong bearings is used also cause there is no possibility to mount the 89- housing but there is no problems cause I use special bearings, the company in the states whitch have the special made housing and also bigger bearings for a lots of money has made something that is not necesary to use, the special made housing and in combination whith the Special steel sleeve I use it works perfect.
----
I also asked Jorgen about the cryogenic treatment (or whatever it's called)of the gear sets & he actually hasn't heard of that before. I am wondering if any of you have a link that I can give to Jorgen or just a lot of info about this type of treatment? I am sure it's something he would be more then willing to do once he finds out that it does make the gears stronger!
Jorgen is also looking into producing LSD's in the not-so distant future. I know that Quaiffe is suppose to be doing something for the C900's but I haven't heard if it's definant or not. So my question is, is there any interest in a LSD from Jorgen? I don't have a clue on what the exact price would be but I beleive in the $500-1000 range?????
thanks a lot & I hope the info was helpfull :o)
