'Ona stock system that makes sense but on a modified AID system will it do any thing?'

actually, it won't have any effect on a stock system. well, it could but not as much as with a modified ignition system. also, think of the aid and the btm as the same thing. really no difference, only one is mechanical and the other is electrical, plus, the btm just has more ability to fine tune.

'but now that i think about it when my car is boosting 28 -30psi the tinimg is retarted to 10dbtdc. When it gets there i don't know. So i don't think if the regulator alone will cure my problem. I may have to get a BTM.'

the regulator more than likely will not cure your boost or power kick back problem. that is more than likely predet caused by lean fueling or hot intake air. you could retard the timing more, but you wouldn't get any more power. when you have your aid set to 10 dbtdc at 28psi, what does your initial timing end up as? the aid was initial designed to give a greater amount of advance per boost so you could advance initial timing more. it sounds like you are using it to gain a higher top end. if your initial timing is more retarded than stock or 15-16 dbtdc, then the regulating valve will be able to help.

'The pressure regulator valve is it a small regulator like for a air brush gun?'

yes, you can use something like that. you just want to make sure you can adjust it in small increments (i.e. 0-30 psi or so). if it adjustable from 0 to 250 psi, it will make fine tuning much harder.
