Hey Kooch,
Well the weekend you came up to whistler i was on my way to edmonton to see vince, and get some ideas. There was something wrong with the car when i left on the trip. When i got to edmonton(1300km) i took my car into John G's auto , the primarly work on saabs. Checked the commpression on all cylinders and found the head gasket was bad. That was the good news, now the bad, when they pulled off the head what was found, the head was cracked in 2 places and #4 piston melted down. So guess what now, i don't have my car and boy oh boy a new engine. I'm going to follow vinces leed in rebuilding the engine. My new forged JE pistons with extra thick wrist pins are on there way. The head i'm not sure about yet, whether to go with a 2.3 or 2.1 or 2.0. I'm leaning towards 2.0 polished and ported with diffrent cams, possiblely 85t cams. I'm still thinking about that. I have been told that 91 non turbo cams are a good way to go also. But what i am thinking about is the ecu. Whether or not to change it. As much as i would like to do it now i thinke the engine alone may cost more than i expect. What are some of your thoughts. Let me know.
Trevor
