I found out today that the coils used by SDS (GM spec I think) are compatible with the Saab tach. Woohoo! Also, the Bosch knock sensor and the LH2.4.2 TPS are SDS compatible.

Of course, that means nothing to you, unless you can also check this out with Wolf. Hopefully it'll all work.

You have a shift light in the car already? I also asked SDS about this. The RPM relay will control this, I just need to rig an LED.

On the whole, I think Jeff is right though. Since all the systems are separate, it's easier to figure out the wiring, have functions that are needed stay. While I realize you need the car everyday, I'd consider taking it down to sort it out nicely. But that's just me. I have my install all planned out, bought the fuseblocks and such, it's gonna be sweet.

I suspect the ABS will be cool too, but my car never had it, so I can't tell. When you have won the lottery and have time, check out the Racelogic Traction Control system. You can add it to any car, and it's easier if you have ABS. The new Koenigsegg uses this system.

Ah, basically I just ripped out anything to do with ignition, APC, AC, fan control and probably a thing here or there too. Roger Bell has been a great help here, and if you're reading Roger, thanks very much! Same goes for Eric Z. I dunno how Wolf will handle fuel pump, you may want to look into that too. SDS handles it in a similar way to LH, but there's no fuel injector relay, so all of that has to be sorted out. I may end up running all new wiring for the pump, but we'll see.

As for the hard stuff, my port and polish and flowbenching on my 2.3 showed a 29 CFM gain. Okay, that doesn't mean anything as I don't have any benchmarks, but that was 29 CFM gained just from the P&P. This was already with the big Schrick valves installed too, so it should flow much more than stock. I have a stock 2.0L head, maybe I should get it flowed...when I find money I guess. The 85 turbo cam tip I got from Sweden. I dunno if I was the one who spread the word or what, but from my discussions with the Swedes, they told me the hot combo was 2.3 head and 85 cams. Whatever.

Kooch, if you haven't seen my updated pix, please do. Mostly in the evolution II section. Trevor, I will head down to see Mark one of these days and see where they're at with your car. I may have seen your head at Larry's, but it could have been another one, dunno. And of course, if you're going to get the motor done here, then you may as well let Larry do it all. He's had enough business from me to know all about Saab stuff now! :)
