That's what everyone speculated but didn't know for sure. Kevin k came up with a good idea for why they mount bosch with piston to low pressure side. The flimsy bosch diaphram will last longer with equal pressure on both sides. IF it's mounted with pressure going to center port, the diaphram has high boost on top (from vacuum line) but zero on bottom. That probably blows a hole in the diaphram pretty fast with high boost. I noticed my <1 yr old bosch "viggen" valve had a hole in the diaphram when I inspected it after replacing with forge.
