Hey GM,
I think you misread my post, and I want to clear that up.
First, I've seen the pics of your cars and I think they look VERY good. I think due to the pattern of the 18s and the dark centers they look very proportional to the car. Much better than some 17s I've seen on c900s which look far too big.
Second, I was not saying "big wheels equals rice". I don't think the big wheels on a RUF 911 Turbo are rice! What I was saying is there is a rice boy mentality that thinks if a 100mm sidewall performs better than a 120mm sidewall, then a 70mm sidewall must be even better. That simply is not true. You said "Even if it only for looks WHO CARES". I actually agree. The point I was making is that "bigger is always better" is not true. If a fashion statement is what someone wants to make, then fine. Just realize bigger may not always lead to better performance.
I have not seen the test you cited, but you did not put the sidewall height. From everything I've seen, for the average car, a plus one or plus two size typically works better than stock. Plus three sizing typically gets in to decreased performance.
