I'm in the running-in process of my new engine (only ~150 km to date, car's in the shop right now for an oil leak at the oil filter housing - I apparently busted up the thread on one of the oil cooler line ports :( ) so I haven't been above 3.5K right now, nor did I get up to significant boost yet. Must say -even with the intake ports enlarged to match 2.1 litre manifold, use of said manifold and rather aggressive cams (Crower 274 degrees/.360 lift regrinds, old G6 specs) she's still totally driveable and engine flexibility hasn't suffered subjectively. With the lightened/balancerotating assembly, and retaining stock IC (+fan), throttle response is much more like a proper sports engine than it is on standard B202. If this is the 'bad' side of the power envelope, all I can say is 'holy sh*t - what will it do from 4K rpm upwards?' Oh well, only 1,500 kms and a dyno/LH reprogramming session (rev limiter will be at 7K) to go... :-)
