I recently bought a Subaru Legacy (sedan, no wagons for me) and I am very impressed with having AWD. Granted the car only has 165hp/165lb.ft but I've never been able to take a turn from a stop at WOT and never spin a tire. My OG900 is mildly tuned and will spin the tires every time if I try to take a corner from a stop or low speed and then get on it hard. If I could have got a WRX (or even STI) motor in the Legacy the Saab would find itself homeless. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's inside tire spins under hard acceleration around a corner in a FWD.
The prices aren't that bad either, what else can you buy with AWD and that kind of power? An A4 with 220hp starts at 30k and the 300hp A6 at 43k. DSM's are FWD only now, what else is out there?
