I while back I went through this very same thing, except my end result was that the higher rate pressure plate is installed and working. I, like you, replaced every thing from the reservoir hose down. Initially, I installed a kevlar friction disc from Swedish Dynamics and that thing would not release for anything. Once in neutral, you could not put it in gear. So, first I thought it was sticking on the drive shaft. Nope. Then I thought there was still air in the line. Nope. Then I thought there was a problem with the master and pedal stroke. Nope. Then I took it off (by now I could get it off and on in less than 4 hours) and measured the thickness of the new disc. It was 2mm thicker than the previous OE disc. So, off to the dealer I went and installed a new OE disc. The clutch worked now, but the disengagement is at the very bottom of the stroke. I was thinking about putting some spacers between the pressure plate and the flywheel to effectively place the pressure plate closer to the slave and thus allowing more throw. Also, this would allow for a slight bit more separation. The problem with this idea is it defeats the whole purpose of the project in the first place, more clamping power. So, forget that! At least it works.
