Whoa Bob, in doing a spring cleaning I Gunked also yesterday, even trying to be careful where it went, but I did try to get the "rear" of the engine and the tranny very clean. And then taking my "reward" ride in the mountains the clutch started to slip real bad. The clutch, however, has been suspect for a while, but its toast now.
So, is there any diff with an Aero vs. early 9kt clutch, what about the Viggen clutch Talifero has, or the Swedish D clutch packages with a copper/kevlar disc? Are the SD kits a stock PP with a disk upgrade?
The 91's are lighter, and have a lower gear than Aero's, so can I get away with a stock unit? But the Colorado roads I like a pretty steep, I noticed the slip pulling out of a turn in 2nd, 12-14% grade, and I was pushing it. And I hate doing things over and over, read Kevin Y's post. But I only put less than 10k a year on.
