We get 100+ temperatures for weeks on end here. I know how the T5 turbo arrangement can suck in the heat. I did as I describe and it helps. What more do you want?
There seems to be a point where the T5 decides that the intake air temperatures are too high, and it just gets wimpy. When you are near that point, a small reduction in temperature can avoid that non-linearity in the T5 systems response to the temperature.
Insulation is not a miracle, one of many things that you can do that improve things. And the T5 NG900/9-3's need a lot of help to perform well. In the end, my T5 was a champ in the heat.
And I think that much of the high tech insulations are been used where it is not needed and not very effective at best.
I have two degrees in M.E., coupled radiative, conductive and convective heat transfer*. My perspective is different.
* and many other things
