on my 85 with the Lesco motor, cruising temps are between 1100-1300 degrees Fahrenheit, under boost 20-24psi temps hang around 1450-1500
at idle temps are about 650-800.
I was under the impression that you didn't want to run more than 1550 degrees F, I guess I could try leaning the mixture out a little until the temps come up to 1600-1700 Degrees F.
