Some very interesting flow spec.'s! Posted by 900 Aero [Email] ![]() ![]() In Reply to: What about 94+ heads?, gorper, Wed, 10 Dec 2003 15:52:13 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
These spec.'s are on stock non-ported heads @ .450" lift just for comparison, we'll have our flowed spec.'s with graphs on our web site soon! "How do the 94+ heads compare to the 2.0?" The '94+ Int. is 228CFM, '94+ Ex. is 171CFM while the 2.0 Int. is 182CFM, and the 2.0 Ex. is 165CFM. Now the "The 2.1/2.3?" Int. is 192CFM and their Ex. is 171CFM. Please note that the '94+ and 2.1/2.3 heads are exactly the same on the exhaust side therefore flow the same! Another interesting point, the 1mm larger intake valve in the '94+ heads only represents 1 1/2% of the 18 3/4% increase in flow in the +'94 heads! By the way an '85 head (with both Int. valves at .450") is 153CFM and their Ex. is 160CFM. I'd hate to think what their Int. spec. would be with with one of the valves at .450" minus 3mm?!!! These things actually flow better on the exhaust side than the intake, no wonder Saab changed in mid '86 even though the '86 1/2 to '93 heads are still a joke compared to the 2.1/2.3 heads and especially the '94+ heads! Anyway good question gorper! Take care, Dave
