I think your right, but that doesn't explain why the expensive KJ intercooler is used in high HP applications.
Kooch gets 213WHP out of his C900 with the 'restrictive' C9000FMIC that flows less than 100CFM. Surface area and cooling efficiency play a part most likely, which bodes well for the thicker swedish KJ for the 9000. the longer the rows the less CFM, but there are some benefits (heat dissipation)
Brads is a short row but overal width is long. A great looking setup, taking advanage of shorter tubes but a large surface area. I have a 23 inch wide garrett core similar to the spearco style, and flow rates are very high when compared to Bell and others that are not bar and plate (according to the maker anyway;-)...of the same size.
