I thought of this many times when I was working on my kick panels in my old spg. It definitely can be done and it saves alot! The volume you need to get head crushing bass when your right on top of it is much less than when it's in the trunk. Less subs, less box, less amps equals less weight and less money! Win, win all around if you do it I'd love to see how it comes out (not to mention that incredible up front bass that is lacking on so many systems!)
