I am confused as to why my post in reply to Gahan's comments was deleted.
In it, I stated the truth about Dr. Ferdinand Porsche, including the fact that he was an arrested Nazi war criminal who broke out of jail. He was commisioned by Hitler to design the VW Beetle, and accepted the job. Porsche was a Nazi.
Sorry if the truth offends you, but facts are facts. I owned a Porsche in the past, and grew up a Porsche fanatic. I am German, by the way.
The word Nazi has connotations and denotations, yet it is still a part of our history. Ignore it as you may, but to call a car designed by a Nazi a Nazi car is hardly offensive or ignorant. For it to be either requires the assumption that I do not know what I am talking about. Sorry, but I do know the deal about Porsches and the family history.
Delete my posts as you may. I am just trying to be honest and realistic. I meant no offense to any reader, and it is up to the reader to be offended, not up to the author to offend.
