Question about A/F gauge..

Just got it today and installed it, what a cool little gadget! Man is that thing ever active though, I think I'll change positions so it's not quite as much in my line of sight. I have the one with 20 led's in a 270 degree arc, presume most of you do as well. Anyhow..
Under full throttle, I am seeing the first four green LEDs (0.75V-0.90V) lit. It won't seem to ever light the last two green, should it?
I got almost 16 psi tonight, and often it will hold 15 psi for quite some time. However, I still am hearing some pinging which dramatically reduces boost. What can cause pinging other than a lean mixture?
Pictures coming as soon as I put the dash back together for good..
