However, I may change these yet again, I have yet another pesky alternator whine that just will NOT go away! I grounded my amps to the floor on the center tunnel, at the back of the center console where it bolts in. I then ran a 10 gauge wire up to the bottom of the dash, where I have two relays which switch +12V (coming from my amp distribution block under the driver's seat - same as amps) and illumination to my stereo and gauges. So, my gauges and stereo are all grounded and powered from the same spot. I'm going to have to redo something though, the wiring is a real rats nest even though I have redone it I don't know how many times.

I just keep adding more gadgets and that means more and more wires..

Maybe I will talk to my techie friends at work and see if they know how to design a noise filter that actually works... Actually I was thinking of using a +12V regulator, which should be damn near no noise/ripple at all, just need one that can do maybe 5 amps for all my stereo gear, should be no biggie..hmm...
