I am trying to decide on springs for my 1996 900 SET. I am in need of rear shocks, so I decided to bite the bullet and upgrade all around. This will be DIY work all the way.
I am looking for recommendations regarding springs. So far, I have heard of B&G, Intrax and H&R. The much talked about Eibach springs are no longer sold for the NG900, so finding them is difficult and expensive. From the other three brands, can someone recommend a particular spring based on performance? I am looking for a "luxurious yet sporty ride" as oximoronic as that might sound. I am running 17 inch wheels and I am debating whether or not to drop that extra 1.5 inches. There seems to be plenty of room, but I simply do not know enough about this.
Last but not least, do the KYB struts come with the bearing? The ones at our site sponsor Eeuroparts do, but I get conflicting messages as who the manufacturer is (KYB vs. Scan Tech - and I heard bad things about Scan Tech- ).
Many thanks in advance for your help in this matter.
