so it won't pop out? opinion seems to be split on this board that it will and it won't.
I had imagined it wouldn't by design.
originally i was going to cut it from the pan but my local saab specialists said there wasnt enough room to get in there, cut it, and get it out. how do you get a zip wheel into the cramped space?? I was just planning to use some sort of bolt cutting tool depending on accessibility when i got to it.
How many hours labour is dropping the sump compared to going through the timing cover? Ive got all week but it would be a good indication which way to go.

im an aussie ive never seen jb weld here(cant say ive looked) but im sure there are a million similar products. what is it exactly. ive got a bunch of those products you mould into place and they set as hard as metal.
i had a new timing chain rolled on last november.
