done but horrible vibrations

ok, so I had the pan dropped and the balance chain was removed.
mechanic charged for 5 hours labour but it took him a little longer.
you definitely have to remove the right axle to get to two sump bolts.
he broke the chain by wedging it apart with a screwdriver.
the engine is now much quieter at idle as the balance chain was very loose.
but the increase in vibration throughout the revs is amazing, it's nasty. i'll have the balance chain put back in sometime in the future. perhaps i need new lower mounts but they seem ok and ive replaced the others. or its even possible something else has happened the vibrations are so bad.
i cant notice any difference in performance at all, it only seems slower as its so rough now.
