tough to have it both ways: autocross and drag setups dont compliment each other too good.
first though, do NOT drive on the street with roadrace /autocross tires. not only isd it like burning cash but it is dangerous. these tires are not strong, dont stand up to puncture (and puncture easy) and most have no tread. "DOT race tire" does not equal "ok to drive on real roads".
as said already, 15" is better than 17" these ways: lighter, cheaper, less rotational inertia. 15" tires better for same reasons. as for lowprofile 17" tires, well that's for looks. you won't ever see a low profile race tire until you get close to high-200s section width and at that point 35% of say 275 ain't low profile.
autocross with race rubber up front only will not solve your problem, it is not done by serious racers. sway bar won't solve problem either. camber might help some - get some crash bolts for the front (which will hurt your drag traction).
big problem is you are driving a heavy under-tired no-camber soft-sprung sedan. no matter as a lot of people do and it is fun. how to manage? you are also likely over driving the car and not braking early and/or hard enough, so to manage you need to brake earlier. if a new driver, this is very common.
some famous racer said that new racers go too fasst in the slow parts and not fast enough in the fast ones. if you give up some speed and understeer in the corners by braking earlier and more, you will go faster.
