That 9k is a 2.0 with TD04-15T and other goodies, exhaust, IC... car custom mapped a while back.
Weather this time around was windy, blowing right in the face so results where not as good as last time around.
Previous time around, end of July the 9k managed 232km/h.
In that same meet my friends 9k 2.3 with bigger injectors, big IC, 3" full exhaust
Best result for a stage III 9-3 aero was 218km/h, 214km/h when stock, last year
9-5 305bhp Hirsch 224km/h, year 2003 and 226km/h, year 2004
Since the results have been picked up from various occasion they cant be streitly compared with one and another due to the changes in conditions.
Wind will affect results big time, for instance, both the 9-3 stage V+ and the 9k lost 7km/h on the most recant run, with no modifications to the cars in between.
1800m may seem like a long stretch of road, but if you run it you will know how short in terms of acceleration in fifth gear.
Generally speaking German estates move fairly well at speeds, could imagine this is due to "shape" of the car in relation with wind resistance. We know that if you accelerate the car from 100km/h, roughly 80% of the power will accelerate the car and 20% will fight the wind resistance. Once above 200 tables are turned 80% of the power will fight the wind resistance and only 20% or so will accelerate the car...
Ps. more interesting results from the last meet
Toyota Supra JZA80 vm.-94 (stock twin turbo) 223km/h
Subaru Impreza WRX Sti -03 216km/h
9-3 ss aero aut 196km/h
Reality sucks and REAL power is needed to obtain good results, like
Porsche 911 (996) Turbo (GT2) 287km/h or Toyota Supra 303km/h
