In the US- a typical SAAB specialist charges about $50-$60 per hour in
labor. We were fortunate to find one who charges a 'meager' $30/hr. I don't
know how accurate this is for a 1999 9-5, but on my old 900s I try to buy
all genuine SAAB parts, or OEM as regular service requires (filters, plugs,
etc.) BUT there are many aftermarket suppliers as well. The SAAB parts are
priced well in accordance really- just shop & compare. Again- I can't speak
on the integrity of the newer 9-5 model, as I'm an owner of an 80's 900s
model, but it has been reliable & a joy to drive. Hope this helps! Good
luck!
