sounds like the clutch master cylinder.  You said it was replaces, but if it
was replaced with the clutch and pressure plate it was probably the slave
cylinder.  The master cylinder is directly behind the pedal.  If the fluid
is black, this is not a good sign.  I would replace the master cylinder and
add new fluid.
