Battery drain

Car:2006 9-3 Aero Convertible
Apparently, on my new/old Saab I have had a App1 failure. The radio is silent but the info on the top of the dash still works. I intend to take the car to a Saab dealer for diagnosis but I have a further complication. I took the car out and went shopping; when I came out, I had a dead battery. I tried to charge the battery and it wouldn't take a charge so I bought a new Interstate. I'm not sure whether the battery was the cause of the failure to start or whether the App 1 failure could be draining the battery. If the App1 problem is draining the battery is there a fuse I could pull to terminate the drain until I have a chance to fix the App1 problem? Thanks in advance for the help.
