The new 2011 9-5 have no parts, the tec 2 cant even pull any codes from the car, in 2010-11 the 9-5 went from the 9000 series to the 9500 series. I would never buy the 2011 9-5. Was really looking at one though but in the end I went with a 2010 9-3 aero as for warranty there isn't any. The sticker price for the car was 32,000 when GM dropped Saab they also dropped the warranty and it dropped the price for the car. Picked up a new aero for 21,000 with absolutely no warranty. The dealer asked if I wanted the in-house warranty for an added cost. Where the dealer them-self would warranty the car (out side of GM) but being I`m a major diy freak I said` no.
The 2008-2011 9-3 parts are compatible, 9-5 its 2008-2010
However the 2011 9-5 are pushing real good deals. Their sticker price is 34,000+ now one can find them for 22,000 with 9 miles on the car... well I did, but if you go that rout might as well be looking at buying 2. One to drive and the other for parts.
Perhaps you should stick to a Kia
