I think you need at least 16" wheels to fit over the breaks on the XWD.
Otherwise the bolt pattern is the same. The offset is a little different, but shouldn't cause a problem
As for the tire pressure sensors, I just bought some to go on my old wheels. You technically don't need them, but you'll have a warning light on your dash without.
I was planning on just dealing with it, but then decided I only need to spend the $180 once, and my snow wheels are good to go for years.
