SAAB brand OEM 16-inch wheels wouldn't fit over the front brakes of my 2010 9-3 XWD when I tried to get snow tires. Dealer was offering a package for 9-3's with snows pre-mounted on SAAB wheels.
I'm not saying NO sixteen inch wheels will fit, but you may still have clearance problems depending on the wheel. Either try them on and test or be prepared to send them back.
