Hi everyone,

The manual shifter (V6 and 6 speed) of our car is showing a strange behavior. When cold, or at least not hot, the shifter is fine. But when the car is hot, the left-right movement is sticky. To the point of staying between 1-2 or between 6-R is left there. The spring is not able to recenter the lever between 3-4 by itself.

I've checked WIS and EPC. Could be a sticky cable. Which I can easily cure with a cable oiler from a motocross shop.

But could it be the shifting mecanism on top of the gearbox ? How is it lubricated (from inside i guess) ?

Or could it be internal, since it is so closely related to heat under the hood ? This one could be easily cured by going to the dealer and having it check and repair since the car is still under warranty.

Any advice before I dismantle the console or remove the battery tray ?
