Does AMP1 need to be "married"? Posted by turrbo [Email] (#8) [Profile/Gallery] (more from turrbo) on Mon, 6 May 2013 21:25:03 Members do not see ads below this line. - Help Keep This Site Online - Signup |
I thought from everything I've heard and read that the answer is no. But I've swapped in two used (and supposedly known good) AMP1 units into my '04 convertible and neither one of them powers my door speakers or center speaker. Everything else in the loop does work however. When I swap my old one back in, the doors work (albeit one is horribly distorted, hence my search for a replacement amp), as does the center dash speaker.
Is there something a dealer needs to do to this or could I possibly have received two bad units? Does the fact that I'm using units from a sedan in my convertible matter? I don't have an EPC.
Thanks!
