The standard SAAB convertible top is an acrylic / polyester canvas outside layer, a rubber waterproof middle layer, and cotton twill interior layer.
I have treated mine with both RaggTopp Fabric Protectant and 303 Fabric Guard. Both products restore the water beading quality to the outer canvas surface. I really have not noticed an appreciable difference between the two products. 303 Fabric Guard is easier to source locally from the marine supplies store.
If your issue is water saturating the outer canvas layer and then wicking past the windows, etc. into the interior, then either product should work for you. If water is coming thru the top then the middle waterproof rubber layer probably has a hole in it and you will likely have to replace the convertible top.
