I've got the XP ISO, just need to go grab a DVD to burn it to. I can install Win10 via USB on the same hardware but when Rufus makes a XP USB it then complains and blue screens when attempting to boot from it to install. Reading seems to indicate it is a XP on USB thing that is not as easy as it should be. Anyway, off to find a DVD, then re-try.
I did find a guide that said to install the GM NAO TIS 2000, then before running it put in the SAAB 2008 DVD and apply the "patch". Various incantations of this I can try if I still have trouble after getting XP installed.
So really this is the only way to program a new key fob? Crazy! On my wife's Honda, if 1 fob is activated you can use it to authenticate and add another fob. But I guess not so in 2006 with GM / Saab.
