Congrats on the car. You'll LOVE it. It's one of the best saabs yet (my opinion, of course). I cannot address all of your questions. but here goes; There should be no clunking from the front end. Check some of the previous posts. I think there have been some that addressed that. I dont recall that either the key area or the sport button illuminate. I'll have to check tonight, but I dint think they do. EVERYTHING else does. Unless the interior light is off, when you hit the unlock button on the key fob the interior light comes on. I have a lot of cargo accessories as we bought the Gary Fisher Wagon. I like the design and Idea of the sliding cargo floor but honestly have not used it. If you frequently carry heavy items you need to slide in and out it would be heavenly. Otherwise it's a bit pricey. We have the retractable cargo net which is very convenient. It's always in the car. SO, if you end up somewhere and have more then you can put under the nifty folding deck. You can take out the deck, lay it on the floor of the cargo area and put up the cargo net in a flash. Voila, the passengers are protected from flying shoeboxes and other hazardous cargo. The back seat heater, is only on when you turn on the switch. My kids are just out of car seats so they LOVE the heater or "heat seater" as they have dubbed it. The car seats and heater should not be an issue, just dont turn on the back seat heater unless you need it. There is no other key. We have the godzilla sized key and the "turd" fob. It works well. Just doent fit into a pocket. I ended up buying a clip keyring from REI that allows you to unclip two seperate sets of keys. Works great and I just clip it on my belt or pocket. My wife clips it to her purse. There is no "valet" key. BTW. A replacement key runs well over $100 when you have one of your keys. If you have lost both keys, go to the bank for a home equity loan before you go to the dealer for a new set of keys. Congrats again. You'll love the car (and this board is great too). Bunch of really nice people us saabers.
Drive Safe. '00 9-5 Gary Fisher Wagon and smiling all the while.....
