Water Pump NOT DIY!

Yikes! I swapped out pulleys, serpentine belt and decided to do the water pump (as it was leaking). The instructions posted for this job, are extremely inadequate. Once I got to the water pump, I was greated by the dreaded "how do I reach that" problem. This was soon followed by, "how will I get that back together?" The hidden coolant line to the turbo is the worst. Then I had to attempt to line up the metal line (w/ O-ring) that goes into the rear of the pump. In order to get that screw back in, I had to take the intake section of the turbo off. The clamp that holds that puppy on was SO MUCH fun to put back on. I spent about 7 hours in the garage yesterday. I cleaned up my mess this morning prior to going to work. Of that 7 hours, most was spent trying to get the pump back on so that it wouldn't leak. It took me less than an hour to change the tensioner and idler pulleys and put on the new belt. That time doesn't include jacking the car up, taking off the wheel, the motor mount and the cover inside the wheel well.
