i ran a bmw 320i for two years - smart, a very good chassis but not as brilliant as the magazines say.
i ran an audi a4 for 3 years - cramped, lousy electrics and poor support from the dealer.
i'm now trading in a mercedes e-class 220 cdi wagon (enormous, solid, reliable but boring) for the 2002 9-5 aero sport wagon because i drove this car and in a very short time blew my mind.
it's chique, unusual styling (here in europe we're choking on audi's, bm's and merc's - hence the never ending parade of car magazines with yet another sycophantic write up on the big euro threee),the interior is perfectly laid out and uncluttered - everything you need just where you need it, it's roomy, paractical and for the power available about 14000 usd cheaper than the germans. add to that the fact that you need to be seriously exceeding the speed limit, endangering yourself, passengers and others to reach the limits of this cars handling - throw in the optional esp stability control and "car" magazines negligible critiques fade to nothing.
go on get yourself an aero and find out the pleasure of being an individual driver not one of the herd.
