Ordering a car on the last day of the month does not count for price protection. The car must have been taken from port or have already been in the pipeline. If going into the last week of the month, the customer still has not decided in time to receive the car before month's end, they are probably not going to receive price protection. The car must have been previously ordered, and had not arrived in time to receive the incentive.
Price Protection is made to be an exception in case of a SCUSA or dealer error, and is not to be thought of as time to "decide on what to do". When the program is over it is over. Price protection is a last resort that we as a dealer can use to save a deal in a pinch; it like other programs will disappear if abused. I.E. Saab supplied Demos, and Service Loaners (we've already lost one, and perhaps might lose the other).

In other words, I cannot order from the factory today and still receive price protection as the vehicle won't even be delivered until February or March.

I apologize for this rant, but I have been overwhelmed with calls and emails. One price protection per month is fine, but thirty in one day? No one at Saab will go for it. Not to mention, this would create a huge problem for the office personnel who are trying to close out the year. Having hundreds of open deals to wait on would cause a mass halt in their system.
