You have a couple of options. Buy 16" wheels and snow tires small enough so that chains will fit. The other option is to rent something else for the tahoe trip. I used to live in Monterey and went to Tahoe a few times with my 900SE, and to Yosemite during the winter with my 9-5 wagon. Cable Chains fit on a NG 900, but they won't fit on an AERO. It's a trade-off of how often you will go up there if buying snow tires and chains will be cheaper than renting something for the trip. The owner's manual should say what size snow tires are recommended, and I think you can get cable chains over them for the times they are required.
