Trying to navigate in snow in hilly terrain without proper tires is a disaster waiting to happen. We just got caught in our first snow of the season here in Oregon. As I was on the Coast for the weekend I was kinda caught unaware. When I did get back in town and had to navigate a few hills in my 02'Areo Wagon,it was not a pretty picture. I did get home but would never try again without snow tires.
