I have been finding it as easy this past year to get Saab parts as ever. In fact maybe easier, as normal Chevy dealers here have had to learn that Saab exists!
I have done 3 parts orders from our local Chevy dealer this year. Each time, I give them the SAAB part number (for c900 parts btw!), they look it up, "yup, we need to get that in from Sweden". 1 week later (or less) the part arrives, no shipping charges, same cost as from an excellent site sponsor down south (but in Canadian $). Last part was a heat shield, which arrived in less than a week. The only part they didn't have was a c900 transmission gasket that was obsoleted by GM (who was apparently keenly obsoleting parts prior to the sale).
Combine that with eeuro's fast free shipping to Canada on orders over $150, and imho it is getting easier to own a Saab in a remote area...
Now would I get the work done at a Chevy dealer?? not likely... we have a great Saab indy...
wrt new cars... Budds claims to be getting new 2011 Saabs in stock for end of September. I believe other dealers are supposed to be go for October. I've attached the link.
