Unless i can find a good argument for any further repair, i'm going to let things ride for a bit. If the engine is toast it's toast.
As it stands now i have gone 6 days since the oil pan drop. I have put on over 270 miles, with at least 9 trips being longer than 25 minutes of engine run time. I have had 3 instances of a flickering oil light at idle. One the day after repair, after i ran the speed up a bit above highway limits. :) Once after i drove around in the country for about 30 minutes, it came on when i turned around in a driveway. And the last time was yesterday when i sat for 5 minutes in line at a drive through. It didn't stay on, just came on and went off twice. I drove the 40 minutes to home and could not force the light to come on again once i was in the garage.
Can anyone explain the danger to my engine at this point, or how my engine is is being further damaged at times other than the brief moments the pressure is low?
Thanks
